Bacalao salt cod is a Basque classic with a delicious flavor and firm texture. Sweet and smoky fire-roasted piquillo peppers are a treasure of neighboring Navarra. The two classics come together as the delicate peppers are stuffed with a diced bacalao blended into a creamy béchamel. The stuffed peppers are then covered in a light tomato sauce. Heat and serve in a cazuela for a fantastic tapa ready in minutes.

Sauce (38%): tomato, piquillo peppers, extra virgin olive oil, onion, sugar, white wine, garlic, sweet paprika and salt.

Piquillo peppers (33%): piquillo peppers, salt, sugar and calcium chloride as hardener.

Filling (29%): water, cod fish (9%), wheat flour, extra virgin olive oil, onion, garlic, salt and parsley.

Use and Care

Store unopened tin in a cool, dry place. Once opened, transfer seafood to a sealed container, refrigerate and consume within 3 days.
