Description
Impossibly crisp and flaky, these classic tortas de aceite cookies are one of Spain’s sweet treasures. These sugar–kissed crisps practically melt in your mouth with each airy bite. Here we offer three styles - the classic with sugar and anise, sweet Sevilla orange and sugar cinnamon - all perfect with a cup of coffee or tea.
These delightful cookies were first made in the early 1900s, using flour and local olive oil with a dusting of sugar and anise. Unwrap their wax paper packaging, and inside lies a thin, crispy cookie, all made by hand.
This selection includes three types of the famous tortas. Classic sweet tortas de aceite sprinkled with anise, sesame seeds and sugar, sweet orange tortas infused with delicious local Sevilla oranges and irresistible tortas dusted with cinnamon sugar.
Tortas are a special treat in our family, reserved for Sunday mornings with a rich cup of Spanish coffee. Whether you enjoy them as we do, or give them as a gift to friends or family, they’re bound to delight all who taste this flaky Spanish delicacy.
Ines Rosales cookies and crackers are made with non-GMO ingredients and come in packaging made from recycled materials. The factory near Sevilla is mostly powered by solar panels that capture the plentiful sunshine of Andalucía!
Each of the three packages of tortas in this sampler contains six individually wrapped pieces.
We may substitute products of equal quality for those shown in photo.
