Soria Chorizo Sausage by Peregrino

Dry Cured Slicing Chorizo - Free-Range, U.S. Made

  • Made with large chunks of pork
  • Seasoned with paprika, sea salt, garlic
  • Slice thinly and serve with good bread
  • Free-range pork
  • Size - Approx. 1 lb/450 g

Soria chorizo is a delicious slicing sausage with a smoky, garlicky flavor. Soria is made using thick cuts of pork, creating a leaner, meaty sausage that has become a La Tienda favorite.

The recipe comes from the medieval city of Soria, in Old Castille, where some of the highest quality embutidos are created.

Like most chorizos, Soria is seasoned with smoked paprika (Pimentón de La Vera), sea salt, garlic and other spices. We use only free-range pork.

This chorizo is fully cured and ready to eat with no cooking necessary.

(Peregrino Brand - U.S. made by a Spanish family.)

"I live in both Spain (Madrid & Javea) and Florida and this chorizo is really very reminiscent of what one can buy in Spain. Avery pleasant taste and texture, just the right chewiness and flavout. I'll be buying this again. Thank you La Tienda and the Pelegrino family"

"One of the best chorizo I have ever tried. Goes well with just about anything. With crackers, bread, cheese or just eat it by itself. VERY tasty."

"The paprika tastes too much smoked, even bitter. Otherwise a good chorizo."

"Pretty good but not as good as the Pamplona style. I find the Pamplona style is more similar to the Revilla chorizo I used to get in Spain. My first thought when I tried this one is it tasted more like a french salami, rather dry. It was harder to chew and has to be cut finely in order to enjoy. Not bad taste but like the Pamplona one better. "

"Chorizo, chorizo, chorizo. I have to admit I was more than pleasantly surprised. This one is delicious and almost as good as authentic from Soria/Spain. Not as deliciously smokey and aged as the chorizos in Soria, but close enough. Salty, like it should be, but not over done. It is just right. Huge chunks of “lomo” meat inside and a lot less fat than your traditional chorizo. I love it. It is my favorite right now. Eat it by it self with some cheese and wine. I like a few thick slices heated on a pan with a splash of red wine, served with some crispy bread. Awesome!"
