The small village of La Rambla just south of Córdoba has been famous for ceramics for centuries. The premium quality local clay produces a durable, light bone-colored ceramic, a perfect background for hand-painted decorative patterns. Artisans from La Rambla are celebrated for their skill.

These ceramics are made by the Figaroa family at Ivanros. They use only locally trained artists to paint the traditional designs, but they have invested in modern firing methods to create durable, dishwasher safe ceramics for everyday use.

Can ceramic dishes be used in the microwave?

Yes, they can be microwaved for short periods. Like all ceramics, they retain heat and may become very hot to the touch, so use caution when removing them.

Are ceramic dishes dishwasher safe?

They are, but you may prefer to hand wash to prevent wear over time.
