This Argentinian-style salchicha is juicy and delicious, with a nice bite that can only come from natural casings. This fresh, mild sausage has a nice garlic flavor, and is perfect for the grill. Each package holds four pinwheels of thin sausage that can be grilled whole or sliced and added to your favorite recipe.
In Argentina, salchicha is often an appetizer in a traditional Argentinian barbeque (asado). Usually eaten with bread and enjoyed as a sandwich called 'choripan' (chorizo on bread). Next to steak, sausages are the top favorite in Argentina.
Our sausage maker makes these salchichas in the U.S. from an authentic Argentinian recipe. You can store the salchichas in the refrigerator for up to a week, or the freezer for up to two months. Cook to an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
