Dehesa de Los Llanos is possibly Spain's finest Manchego cheese. This attractive sampler allows you to taste this exceptional cheese at three levels of aging. You will experience three very different cheeses, from the rich, buttery young version to the sharp, crumbly Gran Reserva. The cheeses are best enjoyed at room temperature, sliced thinly and served with fresh fruit and a glass of full-bodied red wine.

This sampler of premium Manchego is packaged in a handsome presentation box, and makes an amazing gift for the food lover.

Each of these three cheeses is made from raw milk, sourced from the Dehesa de Los Llanos estate's own herd of Manchega sheep. The youngest is aged 3 months. It is firm and rich, with a buttery aroma and elegant, intense flavor. The Curado (6 months) has a golden color and firm, creamy texture with pronounced sharpness. The Gran Reserva (9 months) has a sharp, nutty flavor and a crumbly texture.

Each one of these cheeses has earned multiple awards, and in 2012, Dehesa de Los Llanos Gran Reserva was named the very best cheese in the world at the World Cheese Awards. And it is no secret why they deserve so much acclaim. In 2018, the Gran Reserva cheese was awarded a bronze medal at the World Championship Cheese Contest.

All of the cheeses at this vast estate are made only from the milk of pure-bred Manchega sheep that roam the 10,000 hectares of countryside. Unlike tasteless industrial Manchego made with pasteurized milk, Dehesa de Los Llanos only uses pure raw milk that is filled with the flavors of the countryside. No artificial colors or chemicals are used in its production, just pure ingredients and time.

World famous chef Ferran Adrià describes the cheese as: "intense, full-bodied, piquant, ripe ... A manchego cheese as it should be."

The ancient estate of Dehesa de Los Llanos is a land of rolling hills, covered with cork and olive trees. Their herd of sheep forages for wild grasses and herbs and eats hay grown on the property.

The estate also has a rich history. Since the 12th century pilgrims have visited Virgin of Los Llanos and a large Franciscan convent was built there in the 17th century. They began the tradition of farming and livestock that continues to this day.

Eventually the property was purchased by the Marquis of Salamanca in the 1800s. He rebuilt the monastery, converting into a beautiful palace, and improved the estate by adding wells and building cisterns. Following generations continued to improve the estate, eventually introducing modern agricultural practices. Today the estate produces fine wines, premium Manchego cheese, extra virgin olive oil, walnuts and aromatic plants.
