Simple Paella by Carmencita:
Heat the paella pan with olive oil. Fry up a head of garlic (optional) and some red pepper strips. Set the pepper strips aside. Fry up the chicken pieces until they are well browned. Add 5 1/2 cups of water and the packet of paellero Carmencita. Taste for salt When it comes to a boil, add the 14 oz of rice. Halfway through the cooking process, decorate the paella with the red pepper strips. Cook on high heat until the rice has absorbed the stock. Take off the heat and wait a few minutes before serving
4 oz of olive oil
1 head of garlic, unpeeled (optional)
1 red bell pepper, sliced
3/4 lb chicken pieces
1 3/4 cups of paella rice
1 packet of Paellero Carmencita
5 1/2 cups of water
