Enjoy the foods you’d taste on the iconic Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route! This ancient hiking path stretches for 500 miles across northern Spain, passing through dozens of towns and villages. Each region offers delicious food experiences, from the fire roasted peppers of Navarra to the pristine seafood of Galicia. This beautiful gift box brings you along on the journey.

For over 1,000 years, people have walked to the ancient city of Santiago de Compostela. Today over 200,000 enthusiasts hike the Santiago way, mostly for cultural and personal reasons, though it started as a religious journey. Part of the joy of the Camino is experiencing the varied and delicious foods along the way!

We've put together a selection of great foods from the pilgrimage, starting with peppers from fertile Navarra, including mildly spicy pickled guindillas. Next we added sweet and smoky wood-fire roasted piquillo peppers, as well as piquillo peppers stuffed with crab. From nearby Rioja comes an all natural chorizo sausage by Palacios, ready to slice and serve.

Our hardwood smoked cecina beef is originally from the León region and is tasty drizzled with olive oil. From Galicia we bring one of our favorite seafoods, exceptional Bonito del Norte tuna, the best tuna you will ever taste. Pilgrims hiking the camino are bound to eat at a ‘pulperia,’ a restaurant dedicated to sliced octopus with smoked paprika, so we included a tin of hand packed pulpo in olive oil.

Next we include a San Simón cheese, a mild cow’s milk cheese smoked over beechwood, plus two loaves of Barra Cantabrica, a light, airy loaf of bread from Galicia, ready to serve hot out of the oven in just a few minutes!

The Camino de Santiago is a profound journey for all of those who travel it, whatever their reasons. One of our owners, Jonathan Harris, walked the pilgrimage twice and our shell symbol was inspired by the shell of the Camino. We selected these iconic foods to share the flavors of this ancient route with you.
