Enjoy the delightful charm of these marzipan figuritas, packed with rich ground almonds (50%) and sugar, then toasted to a perfect golden hue. The whimsical marzipan 'figuritas' are a sweet tradition that goes back centuries. These whimsical treats are a beloved Spanish tradition with a soft bite and delicious toasted flavor, perfect with coffee or tea.

This sampler includes three delicious versions of marzipan: the traditional recipe, marzipan with chocolate nuggets and marzipan with candied orange. Turrones 1880, a legendary turrón candy maker from Jijona since 1725, crafts their marzipan using the cherished recipe of Imperial Toledana, Toledo's famed marzipan.

According to legend, during the 1212 battle of Navas de Tolosa, nuns from the San Clemente convent made emergency rations for wounded soldiers by grinding almonds and mixing them with sugar. This almond bread (pan), made using a pestle (maza), is believed to have given rise to the name "mazapán" in Spanish, known as marzipan in English.

Enjoy a taste of history with every bite!
