The candymakers at Vicens handcraft each bar of turrón, just as they have since 1775. The signature flavor of turrón candy is whole almonds, freshly roasted at Vicens.

Included in this gift set are two pieces of classic crunchy almond honey brittle, two of creamy ground almond bar, two of caramelized almond brittle and a dark chocolate almond bar.

Torrons Vicens was founded in the small village town of Agramunt in Catalonia in 1775. Every bar of turrón candy is made by hand. The turrón of Agramunt is so famous that it has protected status (PGI) to ensure that the quality and the ancient candy-making methods are protected from imitations. Turrón with this status must follow strict guidelines and must be made in the village of Agramunt.

In 2016, Angel Velasco, the master turrón maker at Vicens, was awarded the title of “Best Pastry Chef in the World” at the prestigious Madrid Fusion food show.
