- Tender Galician Octopus
- Hand packed in olive oil
- All natural
- Size - 4 oz/111 g tin
Galicia is famous for its pulpo, or Galician octopus. It is served hot, sprinkled with a touch of smoked paprika. One of our favorite tapas in Galicia, the pulpo is tender and delicious, and perfect with a crisp white wine.
The seas off the coast of Galicia in Northwest Spain are cool and rich in nutrients, making them an incredible fishing ground. Conservas de Cambados is located close to one of Spain’s largest Rías (estuaries), known as the 'Ría de Arousa'. Their facilities are very close to where the seafood is harvested, so they are able to use the freshest octopus and shellfish available.
Octopus, olive oil and salt.

"One of the best canned flavors I’ve ever tasted! Have tried a few other packed seafood items from this site and the mussels are my favorite. Rich flavor with a hint of acid. Is now a must when we do tapas! "

"Tender octopus but it had almost no taste and I added some hot sauce to make it a little interesting. Also TOO expensive for such a small serving."

"The good: very tender, the way properly cooked octopus should be. The bad: some pieces had a 'canned tuna' taste to them, but most didn't."

"tender, delicate and very flavorful with a very nice olive oil and a gentle touch of salt, these were lovely straight from the can, "as is." I ordered a second can for a paella, but I really don't know if they're going to make it!"
