From the ovens of a bakery in Lugo, Galicia, we're pleased to bring you this amazing bread. Made with the same recipe as our immensely popular Barra Gallega, this bread is shaped into a rustic ring. Rosca Gallega is a culinary treasure from Galicia with its crackly crust and sweet, light interior.
Rosca Gallega is easy to enjoy; in just a few minutes, the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked bread will fill your kitchen. Place this partially baked bread in an oven that is preheated to 375 degrees, and bake for about 10 minutes. Made with a light, yeasty dough, it has an airy interior surrounded by a thin, crisp crust and is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. One of our favorites ways to serve it is sliced and filled with slices of jamón and Manchego cheese for the perfect bocadillo sandwich.
Those of you who have visited Santiago de Compostela will remember eating the extraordinary bread of Galicia.
