Matiz Organic Piquillo Peppers are a unique specialty indigenous to Navarra - a fertile region in Northern Spain known for its ripe and juicy vegetables. Picked and produced almost entirely by hand for generations, piquillo peppers are slowly roasted over an open fire. The whole peppers are then hand-peeled to reveal the sweet-spicy flesh inside.
Enjoy the rich, complex flavor of these organic piquillo peppers in a variety of recipes. Stuff them with Bonito tuna or Manchego cheese for a delicious tapa. They're also a delicious topping for sandwiches and salads and a frequent addition to paella.
