Each taste of Ibérico de Bellota ham by Cinco Jotas is a concert of sweet, nutty flavors. These special hams come from 100% pure-bred Ibérico pigs, a breed only found in Spain. To gain the vaunted 'bellota' status, these animals live outside in the oak-tree studded countryside of western Spain feasting on sweet, antioxidant rich acorns - the word 'acorn' literally translates as 'bellota' in Spanish. These acorns add a deep nutty flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture that are the signature of Jamón Ibérico de Bellota.

Your Cinco Jotas ham has been aged for up to four years, during which it lost about half of its weight as the acorn flavored fat melted away.
