The Castillo de Canena Arbequina is a delicous fruity, complex cold pressed oil with hints of apple and almonds. In 2011 it won a golden SOFI award at America's premier food show, the NASFT Fancy Food Show, for outstanding oil.
This special extra virgin olive oil is cold pressed from perfectly ripened olive, capturing their delicate flavors. Centuries old olive groves surround the Vañó family’s 16th century castle in the foothills of the Sierra Mágina. For generations the family has reserved the very best of each harvest for their personal use, and over the years this Family Reserve of Castillo de Canena has gained so much renown, that they decided to share it, in limited and numbered editions.
