GRAND PRIZE WINNER: TIM WEST
Congratulations, Tim! Our judges loved the breathtaking scenery and sense of fun that his photo evoked.
"Paella is more than a dish, it's a mindset and a cultural way of life. We seized the day, built a beach bonfire and cooked up some fresh offerings from the sea. It paired well with a nice Andalusian Vermut!" - Tim West
MOST SCENIC WINNER: CAROL SEVEDRA
Congratulations, Carol! Our judges were impressed with this giant paella cooking over hardwood, very impressive.
"My hubby's 50th birthday party when he cooked this for over 50 guests. He is thrilled to bits that his paella was chosen!" - Carol Sevedra
MOST AUTHENTIC PAELLA WINNER: OSWALD VINUEZA
Congratulations, Oswald! Our judges liked the classic presentation of this paella.
"On our last visit to Barcelona, we tried a butifarra, mushroom and asparagus paella. We went back to the restaurant twice as it was so good, and our friend who dislikes mushrooms ate seconds as well. Now that we're back in Texas, we decided to recreate this dish to remember the good times." - Oswald Vinueza
MOST OVER THE TOP PAELLA WINNER: ASHLEY PIDAL
Congratulations, Ashley! Our judges were amazed by this lobsterific paella, and the unbridled joy in your father’s face.
"We had so much fun "not celebrating Dad’s birthday" with friends and family. Can't imagine not spending the weekend helping and celebrating with the best dad out there. I mean, look how happy he is, cutest dad chef ever."
