Crisp and refreshing on the palate, this bargain-priced effort will pair well with raw bar over the next 12-18 months." -The Wine Advocate, Jay Miller COMPOSITION: 100% Garnacha Blanca ABOUT THE PRODUCER: First produced in 2006, the Las Colinas del Ebro Garnacha Blanca is made from 100 year old Garnacha Blanca vines grown in Terra Alta. The grapes are harvested by hand, de-stemmed and crushed lightly before pressing. This wine was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The art of winemaking was passed to the Abanico vineyard by their forefathers. They use grapes from their own vineyards, which are located throughout Labastida, and they keep their production output below 6,000 kilos per hectare. The Abanico vineyard places great importance on the rigorous care of their vineyards and small yields of flavorful grapes – leading to high quality wine with a fruity, modern character. (close) |
