Rated 92" - International Wine Cellar ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Seleccion Especial are from vineyards over 50 years old, harvested from hilltop locations approximately 1,800 feet above sea level. The vines are pruned in the vaso system. The soil is comprised of slate and is very poor in organic content and utilizes organic practices. There are 3,000 vines per hectare on the mountainside vineyard with a production of 2,000 kg/Ha. The grapes are hand harvested and then go through a selection table. The grapes are then dried under the roof of a building at the bodega where the doors are open during the day and closed at night. This creates a very slow and even drying process. (more info)

The grapes are cooled to 40°F before pressing. Ater achieving about 12° alcohol the fermentation is stopped lowering the temperature. Residual sugar is 120 g/l. This wine shows our idea of Malaga wines with harmony between concentration and finesse and it shows the region of sun and mystique. Because of the cru and the extreme selection we still have a very fresh Muscat flavor with a lot of exotic flavors and a very long taste. Stainless steel fermented.
