COMPOSITION: 100% verdejo. TASTING NOTES: "Light straw. Strikingly pungent nose shows an energetic citrus and herb personality underscored by zesty minerality; this smells like top-notch Sancerre. Crisp lemon-lime and quince flavors are finely etched and uncommonly concentrated, with a bitter citrus pith quality extending through the finish. Very pretty wine - 90 points" Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar, 2007-07-01 ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Angel Rodríguez, the 94 year-old winemaker of this Verdejo, was honored by King Juan Carlos for his efforts of saving the Verdejo vines which grow in his 17th Century, pre-phylloxera vineyard, which is less than an acre. Viscous with a powerful finish, this wine maintains a delicate floral nose, making this a Spanish wine that is dear to our hearts. Less than 2,000 cases made.
