TASTING NOTES:
[Refers to 2006 vintage] - 90 Points - "COLOR-light cranberry juice; NOSE-strawberry scratch and sniff; cotton candy; TASTE-really good acidity; white asparagus top on the mid-palate; very solid; the weight is extremely impressive; nice transition mid-palate flavors; extremely well made; a gorgeous food wine." - Gary Vaynerchuk, Wine Library TV.

Vina Aljibes rosado wine is not red, white or sherry, it is what Spain calls rosado. Many Americans are trying this classic wine and discovering its charms. Fresh, sweet and fruity, it is perfect for warm days and pairs well with a variety of light meals. Forget America's illogical fear of rosé wine - it is time to try this excellent rosado!

ABOUT THE PRODUCER:
Bodega Los Aljibes is located in Chinchilla de Montearagón. More than 550 acres of their 1,900 acre estate are planted with 14 different varieties of grapes for both commercial and experimental use. Situated at an elevation of more than 2,900 feet, the climate is harsh with hot and dry summers and bitterly cold winters. The soil is poor and shallow, making it perfect for high quality grapes. Of the 300,000 bottles Los Aljibes produces per year, 60,000 are their Rosado.

Hope Hilandera  5 Star Rating
"And incredible wine at an incredible price. Normally not rose fans, my husband and I loved the fresh, clean fragrance when the bottle was opened. In the glass, it has far more body than most roses, and could be served with "heavier" foods, such as chorizo sandwiches on hard rolls. Perfect with squid, conch and other shellfish, you won't regret buying this. It's my second order."
