"I am an avid cook and always need lots of salt nearby. I put salt on one side and a 2 to 1 ratio of salt/pepper on the other, a handy trick to save time using both salt and pepper at one time. It's just the right size to hold an ample amount of S&P, yet doesn't use up too much 'real estate' on my countertop. Very pretty and well crafted. "
