This attractive hand-painted pair of espresso cups is perfect for sharing Spain's daily ritual of excellent coffee. They are a cheery way to enjoy your morning 'café solo' – brisk and straight; or your late afternoon 'café cortado' when it is tempered with a dash of steamed milk.

There is no unique name for ‘espresso’, for in the Spanish experience there is no other way to drink coffee. This wonderfully intense and aromatic treat is a part of every day life in every small town bar as well as every gourmet restaurant. (more info)

The bright classic design reflects the historic ceramic tradition of the village of El Puente del Arzobispo. When these designs were originally conceived, the region of Toledo was the cultural center of medieval Spain.

Each one is individually painted by hand and signed by the artist. The glaze is lead free and food safe. It is best to wash them by hand.
