We asked an artist in the historic ceramic village of El Puente del Arzobispo to design a set of dishes that would both be appealing in the contemporary American home, and retain the rich tradition of this famous center of ceramics in the Province of Toledo.

Inspired by the classic multicolored palate that was typical of Moorish Spain, the artist achieved simplicity by choosing a simple blue design that enhances a classic white plate.

Each plate is authentically painted by the hand of the artisan – with no silk screen short-cuts -- and signed with pride. Not only would they look strikingly tasteful on your table, they are also an attractive decorative item for display on your kitchen wall or patio. The plates blend convenience with hand-painted beauty. They are food safe, and lead free. You can just pop them in the dishwasher after a festive Spanish meal.
