This serving platter’s story begins with Antonio Raimundo Ibáñez, a prominent 19th century figure in Galicia. Among his progressive and entrepreneurial endeavors within the autonomous community in northwest Spain was an initiative to convert rich Galician clays into innovative decorative and functional pieces. He eventually broke ground on a chinaware factory, with the first test pieces appearing in 1806. The business grew to become one of the most famous in the region and today creates modern items steeped in tradition.
Sargadelos is known for the exquisite craftsmanship applied in the process of manufacturing each of its pieces. All of its chinaware is decorated and finished by hand after leaving the kilns. Traditional Galician culture is interwoven in the designs through motifs, forms and colors with a nod to the company’s founder and roots.
This dish is suitable for both the dishwasher and microwave.
