Grilled Chorizo Kebabs with Cherries and Figs - Pinchitos de Chorizo a la Parilla con Cerezas e Higos
Smoky, savory chorizo sausage contrasts deliciously with sweet summer fruit. Grilling them together unites the ingredients with a seared taste that is perfect for summer entertaining. If cherries or figs are not in season, try apples, apricots or pineapples.

12 oz cooking chorizo, cut into half inch circles
1/2 pound of cherries, pitted
1/2 pound fresh figs
1 large red onion, cut into 1 inch squares
Skewer the ingredients together, alternating between chorizo, fruit and onion.
Place in a casserole dish and drizzle with olive oil.
Cook over medium high heat on the grill for about ten minutes, rotating the skewers periodically.
Serve with good bread and white wine.
