The Camino de Santiago de Compostela is an ancient pilgrimage route stretching across northern Spain from France to the beautiful city of Santiago in verdant Galicia. Over the last 1,000 years, millions of pilgrims have walked the way, stopping in towns and villages along the way. Modern pilgrims walk the route not only for spiritual renewal, but also for the wonderful exercise, camaraderie and the adventure of discovery. Gathering together for a meal at the end of a long day of hiking is an evening ritual. This book shares the spirit of adventure and culinary discovery.
