"There was paper stuck to the turron that first had to be soaked in water, then taken off with a brush. It tasted ok after that, but I lost alot of the candy from soaking and brushing the paper off.
La Tienda Team: Thanks for your comments, Christopher. The paper you note is an edible wafer made from potato starch. It is a traditional feature of Alicante Turrón and helps to keep fingers from sticking while feasting on delicious chunks of turrón. We always appreciate hearing from our customers anytime there is a question! We are happy to help."

"I first tried this candy in 1987 at Christmas while living in Spain. Of all the candies offered only at Christmas, this was the family favorite. We will order it every year now that I know where to do so. All 4 of us really enjoy this particular Turron. Awesome flavor! Muy Bueno!!!"
