Every Spaniard will tell you that his or her mother makes the best tortilla in Spain. To make one, first the potatoes are simmered in olive oil, then mixed with eggs, cooked in a pan, then skillfully flipped using a plate and slid back in the pan.

"As a kid we used to eat this hot right out of the pan..then the next day it tasted even better either warm or cold..combined with some Hamon Croquettas...it doesnt get any better than that!!!"

"Yeah, I'm sure eggs, onions and potatoes are all it takes BUT this tasted GREAT, and I didn't have to deal with flipping things onto plates and back again, etc. I suppose one of these days I could try to make one myself, but I'd rather spend that time making paella, frankly!!
It's really tasty, the only comment I would make is the package directions aren't correct--it takes far longer to cook than the directions say.

"Absolutely delicious! The flavor of the potato, egg and olive oil blends together extremely well. One watch out - the directions on the package are not for a frozen pie. We baked ours for almost 40 minutes before giving up and microwaving it the rest of the way. No matter though, it still tasted great. "

"Before I review this product, please understand that I have not tried it...I I am a borned and raised girl from Madrid, Spain and just the thought of paying $20 for a "tortilla" it just made me sick. 3 potatoes, 4 or 5 eggs and onions....that's all it takes.....I LOVE La Tienda and I have purchased many things throughout the years, but this is something that I will NOT promote, and let me tell you....La Tienda is Number 1, but when it comes to just a few fresh products vs. a packaged "God knows what"...I guess I will have to say NO...and I'm sure if you ask Jose Andres...he will agree without a question.....no real egg can survive in a box waiting for you.....sorry but no"
