La Gula del Norte are made from a mix of pollock and hake. They are carefully prepared to have the appearance of angulas, the treasured baby eels found only in the north of Spain. True angulas cost hundreds of dollars per pound whereas these delicious "gulas" cost a fraction of that. We loved the rich garlicky flavor, and even the more timid eaters among our staff enjoyed them!

La Gula del Norte will arrive frozen in two trays. Heat them in a pan or in the microwave and serve in a cazuela dish.
