Premium Galician Seafood Sampler

Along the celebrated shores of Galicia, artisans harvest some of the world’s finest seafood. After decades of experience, Los Peperetes remains one of the most celebrated producers. With this selection, we offer the gorgeous flavors of their mussels, cockles, octopus and sardines. Caught and preserved by hand, these delicacies are some of the best flavors of the sea you’ll ever taste!

Galicia has long been prized for its mussels, and Los Peperetes selects the plumpest, most tender ones to cook and clean. Plump, fresh mussels are packed by hand in an escabeche sauce, a lovely mix of olive oil, bay leaf, vinegar and salt. Savor them alone or enjoy them with a crust of bread to soak up the juices!

Los Peperetes selects tiny berberechos, or sweet clams, from the estuary of the tiny village of Carríl. After the clams are harvested and cleaned, they’re cooked in a light brine and arranged symmetrically in a tin. Their brine is as heavenly as the clams themselves!

Los Peperetes has mastered the art of preserving octopus so that it is unbelievably flavorful and tender. After tenderizing the octopus and soaking it, artisans cook and slice it into bite-sized pieces. The octopus is packed in silky extra virgin olive oil, with a dash of sea salt.

The producer’s Sardinillas de Rianxo, or baby sardines in olive oil, are caught along the Rianxo fjords where the plumpest little fish thrive. At Los Peperetes, the fish are cleaned, washed in fresh seawater, and cooked in extra virgin olive oil. Each tin is packed by hand, a wonderful finishing touch!
