Feasting on truly fresh fish cooked on the grill is one of our favorite ways to eat in Spain. Rarely more than 24 hours out of the sea, the fish is invariably mild, tender and delicious.
We were astonished to discover a company that has perfectly captured this experience and delivered it to our tables. They cook super fresh Dorada in salt, extra virgin olive oil and vinegar, then flash freeze them and package them for shipment. After a few short minutes in the microwave, the fish is steaming and nearly as fresh as if it were prepared to order at a restaurant in Spain!
Dorada is a mainstay of coastal Spanish cooking. You can find these in the shallows and lagoons up and down the Mediterranean coast. Because it is so tender and delicate, it is usually cooked whole.
The meat flakes away easily from the large and easy-to-avoid bones, and is a great dish to share with a friend. It is so easy to prepare that we often enjoy it for lunch here at the La Tienda offices! Give these Dorada a try, you will be pleased with its quality.

"Absolutely delightful! The sweet, succulent flavor of the bream was enhanced but not overpowered by the lovely sauce. Instead of microwaving, we placed the defrosted fish still in the the bag into a warm water bath for 15 minutes. Worked great. De-boning was easy too. Husband sez: Order more!"
