To create Bacalao al Pil-Pil, arguably the most famous Basque dish, bacalao (salt cod) is cooked in a simple yet rich and creamy olive oil and garlic sauce. Lightly spicy and full of flavor, Bacalao al Pil-Pil is a favorite across Spain.

It takes special skill to create true pil-pil sauce, and our friends at Yurrita do all of the careful preparation for you. Premium bacalao is desalted and hand cooked with gourmet ingredients, immediately packaged and flash frozen. Keep frozen until you're ready to heat it and in just mere minutes, you can enjoy an authentic Basque delicacy as fresh tasting as any Bacalao al Pil-Pil you'll find in Spain!
