True piquillo peppers are a unique pepper grown only in Navarra, a very fertile region of Northern Spain known for its multitude of exquisite vegetables. For generations, piquillo peppers have been hand-picked, slow-roasted over an open fire and hand-peeled - yielding a rich and complex, sweet-spicy flavor unique to the piquillo pepper.
Triangular in shape with a curved point or "little beak", piquillo peppers are fantastic in a variety of recipes. This extra large tin contains 60-80 peppers and is perfect for use in professional kitchens or at home for your next festive party! Piquillo peppers are commonly served stuffed with fish, crab or shrimp - we like ours stuffed with our favorite Spanish Bonito tuna. They're also great as a tapas dish with Manchego cheese or lightly sautéed with a dash of extra virgin olive oil.
Note: These peppers are stored in their own juice and must be used within 3 days of opening. Refrigerate after opening.
