- Colossal olives
- All olive - no pit!
- Great tapa or martini garnish
These Jumbo Gordals are the “beefsteak” of olives – with the pit removed for your convenience. Gordal means plump - sometimes called "Queen Olives" or "Colossal Olives" in America. They are an unmitigated treat for the olive aficionado - with no pit as a distraction.
Great with Marcona almonds, Manchego cheese or potato chips. It makes a great tapa (and an astonishing garnishment for a martini!)
Our Ybarra Collection of Olives is produced by the eminent Hijos de Ybarra company. Originally founded in 1842 by the first Count of Ybarra, Don José María de Ybarra y Gutierrez de Coviedes, it remains in the family’s hands six generations later.
Originally drawn from his estate in the Aljarife region of southeast Sevilla province, Aljarife manzanilla table olives there are noted for their plumpness, size and flavor.
Ybarra is known throughout Spain as the standard against which all other commercial olives are measured. (close)
