The Largueta is a favorite Spanish almond of ours. A slender cousin of the celebrated Marcona almond, the Largueta is much crunchier and lower in fat. Esther Tusal's almonds are the ultimate in old style Spanish quality. In London her sugar glazed Largueta almonds earned the coveted GREAT TASTE AWARDS: 2006 Bronze Award.

Tusal pan toasted almonds are different because Esther uses fresh locally grown Largueta almonds and extra virgin olive oil. She sautés small batches of the long slender Largueta almonds by hand, and then sprinkles them with a pinch of sea salt.
Many discerning gourmets put Largueta almonds in a class with Marcona almonds. They particularly value the heightened almond flavor and added crunchiness.
