Once a staple of the Incan empire, purple corn, or maiz morado, has long been used to color food and beverages such as Chicha Morado, a popular Peruvian drink. Super rich in antioxidants, purple corn is in the same species as regular corn and purple corn flour can be used just like regular corn meal.
This organic flour is made from milled purple corn. Use it in any recipe calling for regular corn flour or corn meal or even as a gluten free substitute for wheat flours.
