This delicious ham is cured in the Spanish tradition for over a year, then smoked to add a little new world charm! Like Spanish Serrano ham, these thin slices are ready to eat with no cooking necessary. Serve with a hunk of hearty bread and a glass of good wine. It can also be used in sandwiches and your favorite recipes.
This limited production ham is produced in Surry, Virginia, famous for artisan hams. Our friends at the legendary smokehouse S. Wallace Edwards use heritage Berkshire pork, a fattier breed which lends the ham more flavor. Each ham is cured for a minimum of 400 days with much less salt than the typical Smithfield or Virginia ham. Therefore there is no need to soak or cook Surryano, simple serve the delectable smoky slices at room temperature and enjoy!
