Artisan Seville Bitter Orange Marmalade with Chocolate

Two dear friends, Elena and Asunción, who make up this tiny artisan company, take great pride in hand selecting the finest bitter Seville oranges, preparing each batch of Sevilla bitter orange marmalade using pains-taking traditional methods.

They make the marmalade just as their grandmothers taught them –no preservatives or additives whatsoever. They simply use Sevilla oranges, a touch of sugar and lemon, simmered for twelve hours – just as they were taught as children.

As a creative twist after the marmalade has begun to cool, they add tiny nuggets of dark chocolate. It is an inspired complement to the bitter-sweet flavor of the Seville oranges, don’t you think?
