- Bite sized chorizo sausages
- Great on the grill or in paella
- Made with smoky paprika
- 40-50 links per package
- Gluten Free
- Size - 1 lb/450 gr
These little chorizos are one of our most popular Spanish sausages. Our favorite way to serve them is hot off the grill, speared with a toothpick - they are addictive! You can also sauté the 'cantimpalitos' mini chorizos in Spanish vino for an authentic tapa. The mini links make a nice garnish for paella. There are about 40 per package.
The recipe, discovered by a Spaniard now living in America, is typical of the classic chorizo found in the town of Cantimpalo in Old Castile.
It is seasoned with imported Pimentón de la Vera, naturally smoked paprika milled in a nearby region. It lends a special flavor that is unique to Spain. These ‘cantimpalitos' are made in America with imported Spanish spices.
Ingredients
Pork, sea salt, nonfat dry milk, dextrose, paprika, garlic, spices, oleoresin of paprika, sodium erythorbate, sodium nitrate, lactic acid starter culture. Gluten Free.

"my husband and i love these chorizo sausages. we enjoy them at breakfast with eggs and scones. also they make great tapas in the evening with different types of cheese. they are very flavorful in sophiscated way. if you are not familiar with spanish chorizo and expect mexican style flavored chorizo, then this is not "it". "

"These are outstanding! Great flavor, spicy but not hot [Fran hates fiery!]. Super as an hors-d'oeuvre, especially entertaining as they jump around in a small skillet! The only problem: eventually we discover we have eaten ALL of them!!!!!!"

"For paella there is nothing better. The size, the "chew" of the natural casing and the flavor combine to make this another item I order and reorder from La Tienda. The chorizo is not greasy but tastes splendidly "porky" and it rounds out the flavor of either of my two favorite paella dishes: chicken or prawn. The pimenton flavors are just right--a bit smokey and a bit sweet. I have ordered other chorizo from other fine Spanish-American makers but this one works best for me. Of course, it beats the "supermarket" varieties with their oily, overly-spiced and peppered qualities. This one is worth paying the shipping for."
