Rabitos Royale were created by Raquel and Señador Valero in a small town in Extremadura, in southwestern Spain. The region is famous for tender young Pajarero figs, with fig orchards stretching for miles. The Valero family worked for years to perfect the recipe for a fig bonbon and settled on a mousse of dark chocolate and a hint of brandy.
Once filled, each is dipped in even more rich dark chocolate! Finally each individual Rabito is sealed in a foil envelope to ensure they taste as fresh as the day they were made.
This special chocolate treat earned the Best Confection in Show honor at the Fancy Food Show in New York – a well deserved honor!
