My grandma used to have these type of pastries at home all the time. She bought them in big white boxes and they were the merienda of choice for all my cousins and me. I have never found that flavor again, not even in Spain (I spend 2-3 months there every year.) When I tried these my heart skipped a bit, I immediately recognized the flavor and texture. This is what I used to eat every day 30 years ago! "
