Spain's most famous traditional Christmas cookies are included in this hand-wrapped sampler. Every fall, right after the almond harvest in Andalucia, the factory in Estepa opens up and the townspeople come together to create these traditional treats. Mantecados, Polvorones, Roscos Finos and Alfajores are all carefully prepared, then folded by hand in tissue paper wrappers, as they have been for centuries.
These almond-shortening cakes and cookies let you experience the broad spectrum of Christmas sweets enjoyed in traditional Spanish households. Our producer, La Estepeña has been in the business for over 150 years, starting with humble roots. Their products are now the gold standard.

The texture is different than most cookies, but they go so well with coffee after a meal or in the afternoon for a pick me up. The flavors have that spicing that one associates with the kitchens and confections from the Middles ages and Renaissance.
