They were honored as the Best Confection in Show at the vast Fancy Food Show in New York – an amazing accomplishment for a modest couple of folks living in a rural village in Extremadura! They knocked the socks off all the sophisticated big city confectioners!

There is also quite a following here at La Tienda for the rich, thick hot ‘chocolate a la taza’. Stirred in a saucepan with milk for a few minutes, it transforms into a molten delight, not quite hot chocolate, not quite pudding, but the best of both worlds!
