From the moment we first tried them, Rabitos Royale Dark Chocolate Fig Bonbons blew us away with the combination of dark chocolate, chocolate liqueur and tiny tender figs. These remarkably rich dark chocolate brandy infused bonbons are a big hit with customers too - we can hardly keep them in stock!

They were honored as the Best Confection in Show at the vast Fancy Food Show in New York – an amazing accomplishment for a modest couple of folks living in a rural village in Extremadura! They knocked the socks off all the sophisticated big city confectioners!

There is also quite a following here at La Tienda for the rich, thick hot ‘chocolate a la taza’. Stirred in a saucepan with milk for a few minutes, it transforms into a molten delight, not quite hot chocolate, not quite pudding, but the best of both worlds! Spaniards have been enjoying chocolate this way for centuries, and you can still enjoy churros y chocolate any day on the streets of Madrid or Valencia.
