These little picos are a new favorite of ours. These tiny, almost round picos are amazingly crunchy and delicious. Unlike most other picos they are meant to be enjoyed on their own, accompanying a cool glass of beer or soda. Serve them instead of a bowl of popcorn or nuts for a uniquely Spanish flavor.
Traditionally pulgarcitos are served alongside fresh fried fish in Andalucía. They add a crunchy compliment to the delicate seafood, but are basically enjoyed separately. We have found them to be addictive, a perfect snack when watching a television show or for nibbling anytime.
Serve a bowl of these delicious pulgarcitos along with tapas, or whenever a snack is called for, and introduce a classic flavor of Spain to your home!
