Artisan made by Yurrita in Oikina, a village in the Basque region of Spain, Croquetas de Cabrales are individually produced by local women using only high quality, all-natural ingredients. The filling is made with fresh whole milk delivered daily by a nearby creamery. The Cabrales, a very flavorful cave-aged blue cheese from Asturias, is D.O. and the only olive oil used for these is extra virgin. If you're a fan of blue cheese, you won't find more authentic (or delicious) Croquetas de Cabrales than these!
Croquetas de Cabrales are easy to enjoy at home. Using a deep fryer or a pan filled with at least 2 inches of oil preheated to 375 degrees, cook in small batches for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the croquetas to a serving plate with a slotted spoon and serve immediately.
Keep frozen until ready to cook.
