Almonds and Nuts

Spain is the home to some amazing 'frutos secos' or dried or roasted nuts and fruits, many of which can be found only there. Marcona almonds, for instance, native only to Spain, are roasted in olive oil for a much fuller flavor than ordinary almonds. Other classics are fig cakes blended with anise and almonds, dried dates and chocolate covered almonds.
