Heno de Pravia Splash Classic fragrance from Spain $11.50 25.6oz/750ml / CL-02
Heno de Pravia Splash is one of the family of fragrances created by Perfumería Gal at the turn of the 20th Century. For about 100 years the Heno de Pravia classic fragrance has been the most popular in Spain. This splash is lighter than than the Eau de Cologne splash -- very light and refreshing. I find it great to splash on after a shower, and often use it as an after-shave. It is clean and refreshing. About 1899-1901 one of the company's founders was passing by coach through the village of Pravia, in Northern Spain. At the time the local farmers were busy cutting heno - hay, a grass used for livestock. He loved the aroma so much that when he returned to Madrid he reproduced the fragrance of the fresh mown grass and blended it with geranium, lavender and a hint of sandalwood. The cologne splash is light green to reflect the grasses which inspired its creator.
